The 1995 International Obfuscated C Code Contest closed 08-Dec-95 23:59
UTC. The 1996 contest will not open until late October 1996, and will
close sometime around the end of December 1996. The rules for the 1996
contest have not been formed at this time and are not expected to be
ready for distribution until late October 1996.
-
As of 22 Dec 95, we have gone thru 4 rounds
of judging.
The field has have narrowed the down somewhat.
We expect to be judging the 1995 entries
thru ~22 Jan 1996.
-
Sometime after the
1996 Usenix conference the winners will be notified by EMail.
We will put up a brief note on the
previous winners
page giving the 1995 winning author names and a only brief description
of their entries (but no source or hint files).
-
To permit the 1995 winning authors to comment on the writeup and
presentation of their entries we will initially withhold releasing the the
winning source and hint files.
The full release date date is not certain; the amount of rework required,
speed of EMail correspondence as well as the schedules and vacations
of all of those involved. (It is rumored that some of
judges as well as a few of the winners have a life outside of the IOCCC.
:-)).
Even so, we hope to release the winning sources sometime in March 1996.
